Guillermo Hughes has almost 50 years’ experience in road transport for both passenger and freight vehicles. Guillermo spent over 45 years with Scania Argentina rising to Engineering Manager, During his time in Scania, he worked to address the many of the unique problems transport vehicles and operators experience in the Andes region.
He is a long-time advocate of enhanced safety for road vehicles in Argentina, Mercosur and Latin America working to modify legislation by advising government entities such as National Roads Authorities and the Ministries of Transportation, as well automotive manufacturing representative bodies.
An experienced communicator, he has participated in Innumerable presentations to clients, government agencies, conferences, transport operators, trailer manufacturers, TV programs and the public. Guillermo is a member of the Board of Directors of the Association of Automotive Engineers and Technicians of Argentina (AITA).
